Do you have an idea for a great book? Perhaps you want to
profile either a family member or a local organization. Our writers are always
open to ideas and suggestions for new books. We will act either as ghostwriters
or authors of your work. A ghostwriter is a person who writes the book and
gives the authorship credit to another individual. In this case, our team
of professional writers will create the manuscript for your book, but your
name will be listed as the author.
In the past, Benchmark
Press’ writers have taken full authorship credit for several books, including
Blades of Glory, the history of speed skating in Saskatchewan and
Riding with the Wind, the history of cycling in Saskatchewan. Benchmark
Press was responsible for all of the research, writing and editing requirements,
and our clients granted us full authorship credit for this work. However,
it is entirely up to you decide whether we act as your ghostwriter or author.
Research is an invaluable component of any book, especially
history and how-to books. However, it is also time consuming and can be difficult
when there is either a lack of credible sources or sources are scarce. That
