You’ve written your book. Now what?

You’ve spent countless hours developing your book and getting it just right before sending it to a publisher to be printed. Now, you’re faced with the difficult task of finding the right publisher – at the right cost – to produce the book you’ve always dreamed of creating. Benchmark Press will make this process as simple, cost-effective and hassle-free as possible.

With Benchmark Press you will take control of the book publishing process. We will meet with you to discuss your vision for your book, as well as the publishing services we offer. Then, you decide which of these services you want us to manage for you. The following is a list of services that you can select from:

Research
Ghostwriting
Editing
Proofreading
Administrative and Legal Requirements
Text layout
Graphics/Photo layout
Cover design
Marketing and Promotions

During our meeting, we will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the publishing process. We will also go through the costs associated with each service and establish a final quote for the project.

Following the meeting, a contract will be drawn up detailing the services you’ve hired from Benchmark Press and the final quote for the project. Once the contract is signed, the staff of Benchmark Press will start developing your book.

After we have completed the book’s design, we will send you a printed and/or electronic copy of your book for your approval. Once your book is approved, it will be sent to the printer, and you will receive copies of your new book within a few weeks.

The final step of the publishing process is the marketing and distribution of your book. Benchmark Press is here to help you inform readers about your upcoming book, and we will do so through a number of avenues including media releases, listings on major Internet bookstores and search engines, and direct faxes. As a Benchmark Press author, you will also receive all of the money generated from your book sales. That’s right, unlike other book publishing firms, Benchmark Press does not receive royalties from your book sales, which means more money for you, the author.
