About Benchmark
Press and Benchmark Public Relations
Benchmark Press is a subsidiary company of Benchmark Public
Relations. Since 1992, Benchmark Public Relations has operated in Saskatchewan
and has grown to become a well-respected public relations firm in the province.
In 2005, the company expanded its operations into Manitoba and now manages
an office in Winnipeg. Benchmark Public Relations offers a wide range of public
relations services including strategic communications and marketing, event
planning, copywriting, website design, typesetting and media faxing, and our
services continues to grow.
Since its inception, Benchmark Public Relations and its team
of professionals have published numerous books for various organizations in
North America. Our work includes Riding with the Wind, the history of cycling
in Saskatchewan; Blades of Glory, the history of speed skating in Saskatchewan;
a four-volume textbook series, the African American Almanac, for Detroit-based
Gale Research; and a six textbook series on outstanding African American entertainers,
business people, musicians, athletes, civil rights leaders and literature
for Crabtree Publishers in New York. Weigl Educational Publishers of Calgary
has also hired us to research and write several books including Great Canadians:
Sports, Canada in the Twentieth Century and For the Love of Soccer.
Our writing and research abilities were honoured when Riding with
the Wind received a Communications Award Honourable Mention from the International
Association of Sport Museums and Halls of Fame.
After recognizing a need for a print-on-demand publishing
firm in Saskatchewan, Benchmark Public Relations decided to fill that need
with the establishment of Benchmark Press in 2006. Benchmark Press will now
assume the publishing aspect of Benchmark Public Relations, and will continue
to provide outstanding service to its clients.
Benchmark Press will assist individuals and organizations
in the publication of their books and will create new publications to fill
specialty niche markets. Its mission is to provide cost-effective book publishing,
so that everyone who wants to can publish their work.
